Levings' Family Christmas

My family got together on Saturday, December 22nd this year to celebrate Christmas. It has been forever since everyone has been together, so it was great to be together again. We usually spend the first 30 minutes gawking at how much everyone's kids have grown and changed. It is crazy how fast time goes by and how much the kids change every time we seem them. But we always have a good time, and always have plenty of good food to eat.  With the kids getting so big, we practically step on each other, but that is probably the part I love the most about our house.

So per usual tradition, and another one that I love, each kid gets their turn on "the chair" and Mom even broke out the Santa seat this year for Ryan.

It is still priceless seeing the looks on their faces when they open up their gifts. Lots of hugs went around.
Makayla. Our beauty with a gorgeous smile.
Handsome Dylan

Sweet baby Ryan. Busy, busy boy.

Carter.  So handsome.  Loves to have his picture taken. He is precious.

She has such a big heart.

Brenley got a book with Me Ma's and Pa Pa's recorded voice. She was in awe hearing those voices.

That's you!

Courtney liked her backpack.

Mom got her smell good stuff.

And Dad got a gift card for his favorite store.

Love this picture of Mom and son.

Well, we tried. This one is not bad, if only we could have got Ryan to turn around.

And another one.....

Look at sweet Ryan's face. So cute.

Brenley's School Christmas Party and Program

Last day of school for the princess today. She celebrated yesterday with jammies and the polar express movie. Today it was a party and her program. Beau went with me, and then Dad joined us later. Sweet kids. Precious program. Awesome teacher and school.

Beau even got to partake in the treats!

Here she is opening her present during the book gift exchange.

And now the program begins.  My girl rocked it this year.  Love this child.

I shot lots of video's, but thought it fitting to end with this one. Merry Christmas!!

Full Weekend

It wasn't our typical clean house, do laundry, run errands, relax kind of weekend.  I think most of our December weekend plans fell on Saturday, December 8th.

Beau played in his first basketball tourney of the season this weekend at the Farha Sports Complex here in Wichita. It was a two day tournament that started at 9:00AM on Saturday morning.  He played again at 11:00AM, and they went 1 and 1.

With pool play complete, they were now going to play at 9:00PM (yes, 12 hours later) against our "old" team/coach, which still consists of several of our friends (meaning Beau's friends and their parents, which are also our friends). That was a bit awkward, and a very intense game.  Happily, though, we came out victorious.

Allow me to back up, though.  After we finished basketball Saturday morning, both kids had been invited to parties. Brenley had a dress up birthday party to attend at 2:00PM that afternoon, and Beau had his end of year football party at 3:30. They went bowling and had a pizza party.  So I took Sis. Brian took Beau and off we went.

In the meantime, Brian and I canceled our date night out (because who knew we would be playing basketball at 9:00 at night!), and we came home to rest before the last game.

Sunday morning brought another game at 10:00AM. We won that, which meant we played at 4:00PM and 6:00PM that evening regardless of how we did at 4:00.

We lost the 4:00 game, which put us in the consolation game for 3rd place in our bracket. We, unfortunately, lost that game too, but the boys did really well considering they have had minimal practice time, and this is the first year this group has played together.

So with all that being said, we were tired last night and still tired today. Here is hoping for a quiet week!

She lost a tooth! WHAT????

My "baby" lost her first tooth last night. It was the weirdest thing.  I didn't even know she had a loose tooth. She never complained about it, even when I brushed her teeth.

We are finishing putting up Christmas decorations and she walks out of her room very calmly and says, "Mommy, look, I lost my tooth." And I was like, "What?  Let me see." And sure enough, there was a big hole in her mouth.  I said, "Where is the tooth now?" And she said, "I put it in the trash."

I dug it out of the trash (it was little!), and asked her how it came out. She said it just fell out.  She said it didn't hurt. She was so calm about it. Me, however? I was kind of in shock. MY BABY lost her first tooth?!? I didn't even have a tooth pillow yet for her.  She is 4 years old for goodness sake. She doesn't really even understand the concept of money or the value of coins (she calls everything a penny), although she does know about  the Tooth Fairy from her books.

Needless to say, we borrowed Beau's Oklahoma State Tooth Pillow and added Brenley's name to it.  We put the tooth in the pocket and had it ready for our Tooth Fairy, who came and visited her in the night. She gave her $5. Brenley was so excited. She is ready to spend her money on a "new toy" she tells me.

So there you have it. Quite an end to a long holiday weekend!

Big hole!

Cheese!

The morning after. $5 prize!

It was a Bedlam Thanksgiving

We had the two Stillwater families and Me Ma and Pa Pa over to our house for Thanksgiving/Bedlam Party.  It was so great to see everyone. We missed the Texas crew, but with the beloved internet, we were able to FaceTime with them and at least see their faces and chat for a little while - in the middle of whooping and hollering at the football on TV.

I was too busy either watching the kids, talking, or setting out food to get a lot of pictures taken, but I did manage to get some taken with my phone.

Carter and Brenley had a GREAT time playing together and were so cute.  That is who I managed to get some shots of.  So even though our beloved Cowboys lost in the last few minutes of the game, we managed to have a really nice time together.

This is Uncle Troy playing trucks with Brenley and Carter.  Cute.

The two kids talking it out at the table.

Thanksgiving in McPherson

We headed to McPherson Thanksgiving morning. It was a beautiful weather day for late November, so we spent some time outdoors soaking up the sun.  Here are some cute pictures of the kids playing.

We had a great lunch and fun day with the family.

Will, Luke, and Brandon

Will. So cute. He likes his picture taken.

Brandon. Hmm..... wonder what he is thinking....

Tyler. Too fast to get a good picture of him!

Finally slowed down so I could get a picture.

Not a bad little kicker.
