Beau ends middle school football

Beau's 8th grade football team was pretty good this year and we were super proud of our son. He is a great teammate and man, can he snap the ball!

This is Keaton, Colin, and of course, #54, Beau Grant.

And here he is with this Dad after his last game.....

Oklahoma State Football Game

We've been to three football games this year (well Beau has been to four, Brian three, and Mom two). One of those included Homecoming where Brenley came and enjoyed the Walk-a-Around and the Parade so that was super special to have everyone experience that. I'll get to that in another post. For now.....this is the first game.

We took Beau's friend Colin with us and sat up in the Varsity Club. I think both boys enjoyed themselves!

August is over?

We started the month with a road trip, birthday, meet your teacher night and first day of school pictures. And now as we enter September, I can safely say we are in a nice little groove.

Beau seems to really enjoy being an 8th grader. He applied to join the Let's Move Club that meets during the last hour of the day during normal encor time. He was selected and gets to take on various roles at school, all geared around being fit, active, and a leader at school. Super proud of him. He did that all on his own.

He made the 8th grade A football team as the starting center. Another great accomplishment. His first game was Thursday night and he played well and the team won!

He was also nominated and chosen to be a student of the month. A paraprofessional chose him based on his compassion and leadership to an autistic student. His heart. It's so big. This is a Godly gift and I'm so excited to see what he does with it in life. Super proud of this recognition for him so early in the school year!! That makes it two years running now.

He is currently at an OSU game with his friend, Colin, after going to the high school football game last night. And he had his friends sleep over last weekend. Did I mention he is pretty social too?

Here are the kids before Beau left for the game this morning.

And Brenley? Well, she is doing equally well. She love school, her teachers, her friends, her after school program. Loves it all. Having several "hall of fame" days, which means her daily behavior is off the charts, GReAT!

She has been busy with her friend Courtney, who lives down the street. They play together several evenings a week.

She is enjoying mothering her babies.

And she looked stellar for picture day at school on Friday.

She is quite the super star and we love her so much. We love her sharp mind and wit. Here she is after finishing a horse puzzle.

So here's to a happy and busy and hopefully cooler September!
