Couple of days in my favorite town

We spent the first part of this past week in Stillwater. The purpose was for Beau to go to the Oklahoma State Baseball camp, but we also got to spend some extra time with Me Ma and Pa Pa, Uncle Travis, Aunt Julee and our cousins.

It was a full couple of days, but I think everyone had a good time.

I know I loved being back on the campus and having my son be a part of that. Having mini dates with that same cutie at my favorite eating places was also pretty special.

Where's Beau? Can you find him? He is leaning on his bat.

And of course, a trip to Stillwater is not complete without cheese fries from Joe's!

Brenley the word master

We just got a packet of papers from Brenley's first grade teacher in the mail on Friday.  In it was this sheet. I'd say my baby girl is a pretty good reader. End of the school year, she is at 6th grade level words.

Summer

Three weeks into summer vacation and I still can't quite believe it's summer. Lots of rain. Different schedules. Baseball games. Ice cream. Some days I feel like the days are just dreams.

Before I get too far into June, here are just some snapshots of everyday life.

Headed to Lowes to pick up weed eater string and the kids had to try out the mowers, which brought flooding memories back of how we would hang out at Lowe's while toddler Beau would literally sit on every "tractor" in and out of the store. Where does the time go?

Ribbie got his first professional haircut. His hair (now a few weeks later) is super curly because he spends his time at Playcare playing in their wading pool and sprinkler. He is so cute.

Baseball in Stillwater for the Eskimo Joes Shootout. Hot and we didn't play all that well, bur I love this town.

Of course we had to eat at Joes too.

We attended a rabbit show with my Dad here in Wichita. My baby girl loves these rabbits. Here she is learning the ropes from PaPa.

And this is how we roll on a Saturday morning when our baseball tourney gets canceled. Can you say "bed heads?"
