Thanksgiving for the Levings' family

We got to host Thanksgiving with the Levings' side again this year and the best part is that WE WERE ALL TOGETHER!!!!  First time in I cannot remember when.  It was the PERFECT day outside.  Mid 70's.  Everyone was there.  Food was good.  Kids were happy.  Talk about being thankful.  My cup runneth over that Saturday afternoon.

I look at these pictures that my sister-in-laws took and I tear up. I cannot believe how time has gone by so fast.  How do I have a niece in college?  How do I have a niece turning 16? How can my oldest nephew have a driving permit already?

These kids are just amazing little people that seem to love each other dearly.  That right there is just so special.

I could not have asked for a better Thanksgiving weekend from start to finish.  So blessed. So very very blessed.
Beautiful Alyson

Cheeseball Ryan

Chillin' with Me Ma

The 3 amigo's.  It's a wonder no one fell in the fish pond.

Bren wore Cass out that day. They had a good time playing horse, though!

Lunch time!

Some game the kids came up with outside.  Lots of laughs!

3 Amigo's again or perhaps Charlie's Devil's, I mean Angels?

Now they are ballin' in up in the front yard

The girls.  Such beauties.

The boys minus Ryan. Wait a second and he will follow.

Those faces.

There he is!  In the back. Won't sit down.  Of course!

See?  Beautiful day. Beautiful family.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving in McPherson

Thanksgiving in McPherson this year was a little different than normal.  Our cook went down with a bad fall and broke her arm the Saturday before Thanksgiving.  And I say the word "cook" only jokingly, but her Thanksgiving meal is always a treat so knowing this important person was not going to be able to cook the meal definitely made for a quick change of plans.

Since the turkey was already in the thaw process, the "kids" decided we could figure it out and whip up a Thanksgiving feast. And you know, it wasn't terrible!  So we enjoyed the day together as usual, and especially the sunshine outside.  Always leave feeling very blessed to have healthy happy kids, siblings, and parents.

I'm quite enamored by this one. His smile is  so big and bright.  His eyes just sparkle.

Pure happiness right here.

This one is so onery.

Hard to catch Luke.

And this was me trying to get a Grandchild pic for Christmas cards.  The outtakes were the best ones!
I was literally busting a gut laughing at them as I just snapped away!  Pure chaos!

CHEESE!

Brandon and his gang signs.  His parents had no idea where the finger thing came from. IT.WAS.FUNNY.

Thanksgiving Treats

For Bren's party at school because sending a bag of popcorn would have been too easy....

Popcorn drizzled in white chocolate sprinkled with M&M's and sprinkles. Yum!

Snow day

We are in the middle of Fall and a little over a month away from "Winter," and we had our first snowfall of the season.

Couple inches, maybe. Super cold, but I should add, super pretty because we could be inside and enjoy the beauty.

The kids had a good week at school

Beau had a math test this week and got a 93% on it. We were very proud of him. He has to work hard on math, so this was a great win for him.

He is also reading a book in Reading class and one of the characters owned a Chinese restaurant. I guess the teacher had asked how many kids have eaten or like Chinese food and almost none of them raised their hands. So she got a local Chinese restaurant to serve the class lunch on Friday at school. He said he loved it! His Dad and I are excited about that! Here he is with his class.

Brenley also had a great week. She didn't bite her nails - huge win. She aced her spelling test and got all three bonus words right, including the word "medicine." She was disappointed the word "poisonous" wasn't chosen as the hard word to spell. It was on her list and she was ready for it too.

Her big award was being selected All Star Student of the Week! She got a certificate and a bracelet. Big, big Friday for our baby girl!

Notice how the certificate says she follows the rules. She certainly does that!

KC weekend

This weekend we headed to Lawrence for a football tournament. The tournament only consisted of two games, but we were kind of excited to get out of town, stay in a hotel, and hopefully get a little shopojng in at the outlet mall in Kansas City where we stayed. Mission accomplished.

The boys went 1-1 ending the season with a strong 38 - 6 win.

A little sad the season,  and now consequently, the league is over for us. The boys will go their separate ways now, and many of these kids we will read about in the sports page in their high school years. Really great group of kids with good coaches and good parents. So thankful to have found (or landed on) this team.

And a little shopping fun...
