Christmas in Oklahoma!

Always a fun and fast day - spending time with our cousins (for Beau and Bren) and my siblings, in-laws, parents, and nieces and nephews. The kids are getting so big, and man, do they love to be around each other.  We were missing Makayla this year, but she was off having fun.  The other kiddo's enjoyed their time together, though.  Always a good time at Me Ma and Pa Pa's.

The boys.  Game planning, literally.  They are playing the Wii.

My love for this lil' gent….is strong.

My loves.

I think he digs his cape.  I know I did.

Every puppy needs their own blankie.

This sweet, sweet face.

They  are so cute together.

Dirty Santa!  Now the fun starts.

Ryan is quite the gamer.

Sweet hands rolling dice.

Whadda you get Alyson?

Yeah!

I love these sweet faces so much. And why can I not remember to take pictures of my parents or my siblings?  Geez.  I am a terrible photographer.  Resolution for 2014 - take more pictures of my family and not just my kids!!

Christmas Day!!!

Always a lovely day in the Grant house. We stay in jammies all day. Play with new toys, and Brian and I try to take naps, although, that never seems to happen. We spend most of the day picking up the house. Amazing how we spend all this time prepping for Christmas, and it's over in a flash! Oh well, here are some special moments.

"Softy"  The new dog that Santa Claus brought.

His new chair and ottoman that Santa brought. It's so cool.

New books to read!

New X-box game

headphones!

KD shoes - I think he liked them.

I loved this doll. She is lukewarm on it, though. It's not a dog, for those of you keeping score at home.
We had a great day. Sure love our kids. And oh, let this be remembered as the Christmas that Brian and I bought each other - unknowingly - the EXACT same OSU sweatshirt. Yep. Sure did.  I took mine back.  Love you, but not enough to dress like twinkles.

Twas the Night Before Christmas….

And all through the house…. the kids slept in the spare bedroom so they could listen for Santa Claus, or at the very least, wake up at the same time to see what he left.  So sweet.

I loved our tree this year.  Gold and leopard.  Great combo.

Bren decided to leave a note this year too.

Ernie is our Elf. The kids miss him after he leaves.

Come and get it, Santa Claus and your reindeers!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve in McPherson. It was a great time with delicious soups and desserts, and of course what the kids always look forward too - presents!

Here are some sweet faces enjoying the moment!
This was at the end of the night as the twins are in their jambes, but boy do they love to wrestle with cousin Beau.

And wrestle with each other. Typical brothers.

"Never mind Beau, we got each other to beat up."

"Can I see?"

Money? Chocolate? Either way = Good!

Puppy love.

This face.

The boys in their capes. I loved it. I hope they do too.

Checking the new toys out.

Happy face.

Happy body.

My first Christmas present to myself

I love these. I love these. I found someone to make the kids profiles for me and Brian hung them in our bedroom so I can see them before I go to sleep. Lemme say it again, I love these.

Brenley's Christmas Program at School

Brian and I have been hearing songs from this Christmas program since before Thanksgiving. We knew the part about Alvin, and a few other songs she would sing softly under her breath when she thought no one was listening. But let me tell you, this girl rocked it out during her Northridge Academy Kindergarten Christmas program.

We swelled with pride.  Her speech problem is NEVER a problem when she gets to singing and dancing.  So proud of our girl and how well she performed. Take a listen.

And here are some other shots of her doing her thing!

She is being Alvin here.  Such attitude. She played the part well.
