She lost a tooth! WHAT????

My "baby" lost her first tooth last night. It was the weirdest thing.  I didn't even know she had a loose tooth. She never complained about it, even when I brushed her teeth.

We are finishing putting up Christmas decorations and she walks out of her room very calmly and says, "Mommy, look, I lost my tooth." And I was like, "What?  Let me see." And sure enough, there was a big hole in her mouth.  I said, "Where is the tooth now?" And she said, "I put it in the trash."

I dug it out of the trash (it was little!), and asked her how it came out. She said it just fell out.  She said it didn't hurt. She was so calm about it. Me, however? I was kind of in shock. MY BABY lost her first tooth?!? I didn't even have a tooth pillow yet for her.  She is 4 years old for goodness sake. She doesn't really even understand the concept of money or the value of coins (she calls everything a penny), although she does know about  the Tooth Fairy from her books.

Needless to say, we borrowed Beau's Oklahoma State Tooth Pillow and added Brenley's name to it.  We put the tooth in the pocket and had it ready for our Tooth Fairy, who came and visited her in the night. She gave her $5. Brenley was so excited. She is ready to spend her money on a "new toy" she tells me.

So there you have it. Quite an end to a long holiday weekend!

Big hole!

Cheese!

The morning after. $5 prize!

It was a Bedlam Thanksgiving

We had the two Stillwater families and Me Ma and Pa Pa over to our house for Thanksgiving/Bedlam Party.  It was so great to see everyone. We missed the Texas crew, but with the beloved internet, we were able to FaceTime with them and at least see their faces and chat for a little while - in the middle of whooping and hollering at the football on TV.

I was too busy either watching the kids, talking, or setting out food to get a lot of pictures taken, but I did manage to get some taken with my phone.

Carter and Brenley had a GREAT time playing together and were so cute.  That is who I managed to get some shots of.  So even though our beloved Cowboys lost in the last few minutes of the game, we managed to have a really nice time together.

This is Uncle Troy playing trucks with Brenley and Carter.  Cute.

The two kids talking it out at the table.

Thanksgiving in McPherson

We headed to McPherson Thanksgiving morning. It was a beautiful weather day for late November, so we spent some time outdoors soaking up the sun.  Here are some cute pictures of the kids playing.

We had a great lunch and fun day with the family.

Will, Luke, and Brandon

Will. So cute. He likes his picture taken.

Brandon. Hmm..... wonder what he is thinking....

Tyler. Too fast to get a good picture of him!

Grandpa and Brenley playing catch.

Boys and their Daddy, Kyle

My girl with another ball

Will playing. Looking ornery.

Luke

Finally slowed down so I could get a picture.

Not a bad little kicker.

There is my big boy playing with the little ones.

Will taking care of Tyler as he sleeps on the floor. Big day.

Turkey Trot

We had a Thanksgiving Feast with the cutest pre-schoolers today.  Mama Grant brought the turkey and potatoes and Brian and I watched a lot of cute kiddo's gobble up food.

In addition to a great meal, we also got a little entertainment. Introducing the Turkey Trot!

Micro Basketball league for the "B" girl

So we are trying to figure out what it is that Brenley just loves. Is it Dance? Cheer? Gymnastics? Soccer? Baseball?  Basketball?  After her recent stint in the YMCA Micro-Basketball league....I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, competitive sports? Hmm.....not so much.

I took an awesome picture of her trying to guard another little girl, and she literally ducked her head and put her hands on her head after the little girl shot the ball because she didn't want to get hit.  I took that picture with another photo program, so I need to figure out how to upload it on here.  For now, here she is on the bench. She had already been in the game, and for some reason, watching her teammates wasn't near as entertaining as the conversation she was having with herself.

Not even facing her own court.

What's a girl to do?

Dr. in action

Brenley got in serious trouble tonight for disobeying. As a result, she got the TV and iPad taken away for the evening. And as a result of that, she has had to kick charge her imagination and play with Mom and Dad and brother.

Here she is taking care of her Dad after he skinned his knee running this morning. His ouchie bothered her.

Beau's last 4th grade football game

Well, it is always a little bittersweet when something comes to an end, but also a part of me that is glad it is over. We've watched games in hot heat, extreme cold, crazy wind, and rain -- all in a short 2 1/2 month time period.

Bottom line, I am so proud of my boy and his team. They ended the season 4-4-1 and really had luck been a little on our side, it should have been a 6-3 season.

Beau earned the center position and he did a stellar job. Loved watching those little sausage fingers one hand snap the ball.

Here he is with his teammates post game this afternoon. He was also a captain for the last game today. #31. My heart.
