Easter 2012 in McPherson

We couldn't have designed a more perfect weather day for our Easter celebration with the Grant Family. Lovely Palm Sunday church service where Brenley informed me that "these are not leaves, but palms, Mom." She was right. Who was I to argue.

So after church, we went back to the Grant house for lunch, Easter baskets, and egg hunts.  I got some great pictures, so I'll let them do most of the talking.....

Birthday Party Saturday

So between the two kids, they were invited to four different birthday parties on Saturday, the 31st.  Two cousins (one in Wichita, one in Stillwater, OK), and Brenley had two friend/daycare buddy parties.

In order to make both kids happy, and not make Mom and Dad too crazy, we opted to split up.  We didn't go to one of the daycare buddy party Saturday morning, but between us, we made it to three of the four!

Beau and I headed to Stillwater for my nephew Brady's 10th birthday party.  It was a lot of fun. I always enjoy watching my brothers act like children!  No pictures of Travis doing a flip, but I do have one of Troy on the rings!

Brian and Bren went to Will's 2nd birthday party here in Wichita. Then they headed to her friend Spencer's birthday later that afternoon. Whew!  We were all tired when we finally got back home together, but it was a day well spent!  Happy Birthday to all of our March birthday's!  There was certainly a lot of them this month!

I have wanted Brenley to wear flip flops since birth (practically!). Today not only is she wearing them but walking and running in them. Earlier this week, she shuffled. But I would say now she has got the flip flop sound down!!!! And does she look like Miss Sporty Spice here or what?? Mama loves grey T-shirts!!

Creativity

So for those of you that don't know..... I am "in-between" jobs right now. No worries. It was of my doing. Completely my choice, and also no worries, I have something else lined up that I can't really talk about right now until it gets inked..... BUT.... what this has allowed me to do is complete a lot of projects that I have wanted to do for a long time. Now that I have had some time off, I can cook nice dinners for my family, finish picture projects, clean, and make sock puppets. That's right. I said it. I made a dog sock puppet for a project that Beau had at school. And my mommy would be so proud..... I even sewed and hot glue gunned it!  I am a regular Suzy Homemaker.  The funniest part is when I was leaving work, everyone was like, have a great time staying home with your kids!!  And I was like....what do these people think...that I am going to go home and cut out paper hearts with my kids?  Good grief. That's not me. But looky here......it's not paper hearts, but I think I'm coming pretty close to it!

So...here are some of my recent "creations." More to come, of course, maybe even a paper heart (or egg!) garland.... :)

These are my little Rachel Ray bubble and brown dishes.  How cute are these?  Individual lasagna's for dinner!   And they cleaned up so easily.  Loving these. Trying to decide what else I can bake in these!
