Twin's 1st Birthday Party

I cannot believe it has been a year, but our precious twin nephews turned one today! What a quick year!  We headed to McPherson to celebrate the big day.  It was a great afternoon. They were really great sports and their Mama and Daddy planned a perfect party for them.  The pictures really tell the best stories.

I mean, it's their party. They can cry if they want too!!!  Sweet boys. You've gotten so big this year. Can't wait to see what is in store for year #2. Happy Birthday, Brandon and Tyler!

Valentine's Day 2012

I sure do have the sweetest Valentines ever.  Check out my cute family today!

So I love Valentine's Day.  Always have. Not sure why. Just something really nice about the day.  And I love to be a creative, Mom, even though I don't really have any original ideas of my own, but at least I know where to steal good ideas from!

I organized Beau's Valentine party at his school this year.  I failed to take a picture of his valentine's which were Pop Rocks in a clear baggie with a note that said, "You Rock, Valentine!"  Then he also had to make a valentine box. Here is his box. It was all I could do not to help him with this, but he was so proud of it, so that pleased me.
Can you read what he wrote here?  It says "Grils (sic) are "Boy Crazy" for Beau"  Oh geez!!!

Then here is Bren's Valentine box that she made.

Here are the Valentine's we made for her to pass out to her friends. The first one is a rubber ball that says "you make my heart Bounce!" and the second one was melted broken crayons in the shape of the heart, and we wrote "You color my world happy, Valentine!" and we included a color sheet with it.  She was happy with them, and so was I, especially because I made the crayon hearts in the slow cooker!!!

And last but not least, I made some cakeballs for my Bub (and for my co-workers). They turned out pretty cute (and yummy too).  It was a Happy Valentine's Day 2012 here at here at the Grant house!  Love to my all my blog readers!!

Brenley's Birthday - My Baby is 4? Say it isn't so?!

I think the birthday girl had a pretty happy birthday. She was almost annoyed at us when we got her up on birthday morning to sing to her!

She was fortunate enough that she had a field trip to Acrobatic Academy on her birthday, so Mom signed up to drive her and a friend. Her bestie Dale went with us, and I had a fun time listening to their stories on the way to acrobatic academy.

Here are some pictures of their time at the Acrobatic Academy.

I took Brenley and Dale back to school so she could enjoy the rest of her day with her friends.  The party continued that evening once we got home. Dad rolled the NEW BIKE in and she was pretty excited - mostly for the baby seat on the back and the horn - of course!  We love anything that makes noise!

After Beau's basketball practice that evening, we were finally able to celebrate with some cake and a few more presents.

LOVE THIS ONE!!! May all your birthday wishes come true!!

Happy Birthday, big doll. Hope you had a Happy 4th Birthday.  You continue to be stubborn, independent, determined, clever, and smart.  You know the definition of bragging and bossy, and somehow you still don't think you are bossy, but little miss, you are certainly bossy.

Your vocabulary amazes me. You know all your letters, all your numbers - even double digit numbers. You tell me what hexagons and octagons are.  And you even learned to write your own name this year.  I think you were spelling it (full, middle and last) for at least the past six months.  Seriously, child, you are so bright.

What I love most is your imagination. You come up with such wild stories.  You relive your favorite memories over and over again, and want to do them again - tomorrow.

You took your first swim and gymnastics class this year at the YMCA. You loved them both.

Speaking of love.....you play favorites.  But those you love......you love.  I happen to be one of those lucky few.  How blessed a mama I am.......  love you punkin' doll. Happy Birthday.  Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

Giants Win!

So back in August 2011, MeMa bought Beau two football jersey's. An Oklahoma State generic jersey and an Eli Manning Giants jersey. And I remember thinking at the time that the Giants jersey was a little random, but Manning was a good player, and Beau likes wearing jerseys so it will be fine.

Well, little did she know that the Oklahoma State jersey got worn A LOT after a stellar football season and a trip to the Fiesta Bowl. And boy howdy, did the Eli Manning jersey get worn a lot. The only person in the house to pick the Giants to win the Super Bowl was Beau AND he wears the MVP's jersey!!!

MeMa, start planning your trip to Hibbets next August for two more season picks!!!

Brenleys 4th Birthday Party - @ Pump It Up!

It had been a balmy 60 some degrees all week as we anxiously awaited Birthday party Saturday and on Friday it turned rainy and dreary. The rain stopped Friday night, but Saturday was still cold and dreary, but that was not to stop our fun.  Our Brenley May is turning 4 and she wanted to go to Pump It Up to celebrate with her friends - so that is where we headed!  It was a fun morning, followed by lunch with some family. Then we headed to the YMCA for two of Beau's basketball games that afternoon, and believe it or not, the day wasn't over.  Brian and Beau headed to the Intrust Bank Arena for a WWE event, so Sis and I stayed home and played with presents. Here is a sampling of the smiling faces at Brenley's party!!
