Thanksgiving

Whew!  What a weekend. Brian and I were pretty much worthless today. Why? We are not sure.  Guess it was just the busy coming and going weekend, but we loved it all.

Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, we headed to McPherson for a really great meal, and a day filled with football and cute kids.  Speaking of cute kids.....here are a few.....

Happy Twins on their First Thanksgiving!
So Friday came, and I headed to work (blah!), and Brian met my folks half way so they could spend some extra time together. Then once I finished my work day, Brian and I had a nice evening together and got a little Christmas shopping done.

Saturday morning we hit the road to Oklahoma for our next round of Thanksgiving.  My family hasn't been together a lot this year, so it was so great being together. The day always goes by so fast. But it was filled with good food and fellowship, lots of laughter, and amazement at how fast our kids are growing up.  Kids are taller than adults, wear bigger shoes, ugh - it's crazy!  But one thing is still the same....they all love to be together, and at Me Ma's and Pa Pa's house.

So as they say, on Sunday, we rested. But not quite. We got the house decorated for Christmas.  We still need to do a little outside decorating, but the inside it bright.  Each kid has their own tree in their room, and I must say.....I'm a little jealous. They are super cute!

We got caught up on DVR shows, made a few more shopping lists, and recounted stories of our Thanksgiving weekend.  How blessed we are.....

Here's to a peaceful holiday season.  My favorite saying that keeps popping up in every magazine or when I log on to Pinterest is "Keep Calm, and Carry On."  I think it's my sign......

In the meantime, here is a snapshot of the "group."  I got amazing individual shots of the kids, but those will be saved for Me Ma's Christmas cards.

And because baby Ryan was celebrating his first Thanksgiving.....he gets a little more play.  So stinkin' cute!

Loves to put things in his mouth. This time, it is a Clementine!

Oops, got a piece of a potato. Mama had to get that out.

And there ya go.  Lovely, lovely weekend!

Field Trip and Basketball Game

Brenley went on another field trip on Friday to Exploration Place. She rode with Jack's Grandpa. I met him on the Pumpkin Patch field trip. We actually exchanged emails so we could share pictures.  So he sent me some of Brenley enjoying herself at Exploration Place. How nice that I got to see her in action!

And then today, Beau had his first Baskeball game. Well, technically he should have played last Saturday and Tuesday night, but both times, the other team was a "no show." So he got his first taste of game time today and he did really great. Love watching him play ball - no matter what "ball" it is!  He is #25.

Halloween Celebrations

Gosh, seems like we started talking about Halloween costumes in September, and now it has come and gone and it is already November.  Daylight Savings time is tonight.  Not sure how I feel about driving home from work in the dark, but I guess at least it will be light when I drive to work?!? I don't know.  Either way, time is flying by.  And honestly, after this hot summer, I am enjoying these cooler days.

Okay, so speaking of cooler days......have we had some fun ones recently.  When Beau first started Northridge Academy, I always signed up to be a drive for his Cox Farms field trip where we would do a hay rack ride and pick pumpkins. Well, this was the first year Brenley got to go, and of course, Mama was right there!  So much fun being with her and spending time with the little ones that she spends all day with.

This is her teacher, Ms. Heather

This is her friend, Jack.  And the crazy lady looks like Me Ma.  Baaa haaaa.....I'm so funny!  Kidding, Mom!

Ready, Set, Go Cow, Go!

Okay, the field trip was about a week before Halloween.  So later that week, Beau celebrated his "Fall Party" at Maize South Elementary.  He got dressed all by himself.  Getting so big. I just feel honored he "lets" me come to school and participate in these things with him.

And here comes JOHN CENA!

On Monday, Halloween day, Brenley had her party at school. She finally decided she would be a Fairy Princess. Costume was made complete with a cupcake wand, princess crown cape, fast sparkly shoes and polka dot socks - her idea - of course.  She was the prettiest Princess Fairy I have ever seen.

Gorgeous!
Singing and chilling before the parade
First one in line!
Directing traffic
Leading the parade!
Eating afterwards. YUM!
And then finally it got to be Halloween Night!  Beau took off with his bestie, and backyard neighbor, Trevor, Trevor's little brother, and Trevor's Dad. So that left us to take Bren around.  Little sad about not having Beau with us, but we just can't keep up with him and he had a great time. So here are our little Halloween cuties on their fun filled candy night!

Fun night, fun times, sweet kids. That is what it is all about!
