October - Where has the time gone?

I can't believe I haven't posted anything yet this month.  That's terrible  Let's see.....Brian turned 36, we made a quick visit to Oklahoma, I got a cake pop maker that is AWESOME, and boy, have we been playing a little ball. Football on Saturday and baseball on Sunday. It's made for some quick weekends! But we have loved every minute of it.

Here is a picture from today's football game in Hutchinson, KS.  Our boy was a captain - again.  We wouldn't trade our Saturday morning's for anything, but his team is TERRIBLE!  However, he is getting a TON of experience because he plays offense, defense, and special teams, and loves it, hence, so does Mom and Dad.

After the game, we headed to McPherson to get family pictures taken. It was a request of Grandma and Grandpa, and it had been several years since the cousins and siblings had their picture together, and there have been a lot of new family additions since then.  It was a perfect day for outside photo's, and a little play time at the park.  Lots of smiling today!

But before we could get to the pictures, we had to grab some lunch, where Beau lost ANOTHER tooth. Here he is.....a little toothless on top!

And here is the fun time in the park.....
Bren not letting a skirt get in her way of play time!

Come on, little boy! Get going!

Two dudes talking it over.

Contemplating or resting or just looking pretty?

And these are the twins.  So full of personality.  And so hard to get a picture of them both smiling and looking at the camera AT THE SAME TIME, or no hands in their mouth, or hitting each other.....  (good luck Laurie and Seth!). But oh how we love these happy boys!

Can you say, Charmer!?

Brenley's DIY haircut

So this is the note Brenley brought home from school on Friday.  The teachers turned around when they heard an "uh oh" and found this hair sitting by Brenley as the class worked on a "cutting" project.  Considering I can't tell where she cut it (nor will she tell me), and she tells me she will NEVER (yeah right) cut her hair again.........we did have to laugh at this note.  My independent, curious girl.

Busy Saturday

It was rise and shine on Saturday morning. We were out of the house shortly after 7:00am. Dark, rainy, but as far as we knew, the football game in Hutchinson, Kansas was still on at 9:00am.  So off we went, packed with rain gear, sweatshirts, and clothes to change in afterwards, because we were going to make a day of it at the Kansas State Fair.

The football game didn't go our way, although our Bub NEVER came out of the game.  Played offense, defense, and special teams.  He got in some really good hits.  He is really getting this game figured out. Still some things we need to work on, but when you are playing both sides, it can get a little confusing for anyone. So even though his team struggled, we were so proud of him in his effort and attitude.

Speaking of, he has had a great week.  From a spectacular parent teacher conference, to being quite the brave one at the dentist and doctor appointment, he really has had a great week.

Okay, so after the football game, we headed to the State Fair.  We've been going every year since we moved to Wichita.  We really enjoy it, and now that Beau really just wants to do rides and games, it is really fun.  Both kids still like to look at the animals, which makes their mama really happy.  And of course, all of us love the fair food!  We tried a fried Snicker this year!!! YUM!

From here, I'll let the pictures do the talking.....

This Mama pig also had some babies. SO CUTE!

He loves this slide.

Had to do the water ride

Handsome boy.

Brenley Poops

Well, hopefully in another few weeks, I can stop writing about Brenley and her poops.  I hope in a few weeks, this whole nightmare of pooping  (from not pooping to pooping in her pants, etc.) is over with. But until then, let me just share...

We went to the doctor almost two weeks ago.  She got us started on some stuff, and finally after a few days (which is just what the hand out said), it started working. But needless to say, whether Brenley goes poop on a daily basis is still of a concern to me.  And she had been on a pretty good roll.....until the past few days.  So I was growing concerned because she hadn't pooped. But finally this afternoon, she pooped. And pooped she did.

She proudly exclaimed... "Look!  It looks like a pear ...... and a snake!"  Hmmm....not sure where she comes up with these things. But we all screamed, "Yeah, it sure does!"

And then, she rested.........

Fall Baseball

Two sports - every weekend from now until the end of October......

Scratch off #2 for us. We got in our first Fall baseball game of the season.  Wasn't sure quite what to expect. New field.  No more machine pitch - just kids pitching to other kids. And well..... I'd say the Tigers did a really great job - namely #15, but of course, I am biased. However, he did catch a right field pop up for an out.  And he also hit a double his first time up to bat (hitting in the #3 spot). So I gotta say, Beau Grant is off to a nice start!  Here he is....looking "mean" again......

First Football Game - #47

Well, we got the first one under our belt.  Boys lost, in fact, they didn't even get on the board. It was a little rough. You could tell that the boys never got a chance to scrimmage anyone - just made those first time mistakes.

But as for Beau, he got play Center, Right Guard, Defensive End, and Linebacker. Not sure he knew how to play all those positions, but he did a great job, nonetheless. He likes to tackle, and tackle he did.

Looking mean.....

If you can't find #47, then look for the guy with the tall black socks.

And the cheerleader....
