Busy Saturday

It was rise and shine on Saturday morning. We were out of the house shortly after 7:00am. Dark, rainy, but as far as we knew, the football game in Hutchinson, Kansas was still on at 9:00am.  So off we went, packed with rain gear, sweatshirts, and clothes to change in afterwards, because we were going to make a day of it at the Kansas State Fair.

The football game didn't go our way, although our Bub NEVER came out of the game.  Played offense, defense, and special teams.  He got in some really good hits.  He is really getting this game figured out. Still some things we need to work on, but when you are playing both sides, it can get a little confusing for anyone. So even though his team struggled, we were so proud of him in his effort and attitude.

Speaking of, he has had a great week.  From a spectacular parent teacher conference, to being quite the brave one at the dentist and doctor appointment, he really has had a great week.

Okay, so after the football game, we headed to the State Fair.  We've been going every year since we moved to Wichita.  We really enjoy it, and now that Beau really just wants to do rides and games, it is really fun.  Both kids still like to look at the animals, which makes their mama really happy.  And of course, all of us love the fair food!  We tried a fried Snicker this year!!! YUM!
