Thanksgiving in OKLAHOMA!

Always a good time when the Levings family gets together. It's certainly a house full. And the day would have been PERFECT had the Cowboys won, but low and behold it wasn't meant to be.

Ah well.  We enjoyed spending time together. We were blessed with beautiful weather outside so we got to spend a lot of time out there playing in the leaves and the street - because you can do that in Garber!

Here are some pictures of my beautiful nieces and nephews and of course, my kiddo's!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, one day post Thanksgiving and I am finally able to eat again. Great food, good company.........we headed to McPherson yesterday to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Grant Family. The kids are beginning to take over the house, and we are all anxious for next year when we have four more baby feet around!  It's going to be fun with all those kiddo's.

The kids had a great time playing with Grandma and Grandpa and their aunts and uncles. We even got to snap a few pictures before mass chaos ensued. Beau needs to work on holding babies as Will almost did a face plant - but he was saved. Too bad Grandma's plant stand has seen better days! Ah well. No major harm done, and I'm sure the floor is dry by now too!

Brian and I are both very thankful for the love of our families, being able to be with them during the holidays, and the fact that our babies (both ours and our nieces and nephews) are healthy and happy.  We look forward to our trip home to OKlahoma tomorrow to celebrate with the Levings' family. Talk about mass chaos! And it's OSU/OU SATURDAY GAME DAY! Whew. Not sure what I am looking more forward too. Just kidding. Of course I am anxious to see my family. It's been too long. Picture to follow soon, but in the meantime, check out these sweet ones.

Happy Halloween!!

It was a dark, windy, and cold night.........and I can't even try to sound scary if I wanted too! So anyway, our Halloween was a lot of fun. The kids were troopers. Beau took off with the neighbors so he could RUN to every house in our sub-division. Brenley road in the wagon with her cousin Luke and we took them to a lot of stops. Those two climbed in and out of that wagon and up and down many stairs and were cute and happy and funny!

Brenley refused to say, Trick or Treat, but she always ended it with, Thank you.  Luke wanted to shut everyone's doors. So after someone would walk away from handing out candy, he would make sure their front door was shut before he turned to walk away. It was a hoot.  And sweet baby Will was snug as a bug in a rug in his stroller and napped most of the evening.  It really turned out great.  Here are some pictures of the fun night.

Kid's Halloween Parties

Fun day, quick day, lots of sugar day!  This morning was Brenley's Fall Festival Party at Northridge, and this afternoon was Beau's Fall Festival at Maize South Elementary.  Cute kid's, lots of smiles, and way too much sugar, but it was a fun day. Glad I took off work to capture it and see my kids have so much fun parading around in their costumes.

We were not quite sure what Brenley was going to be. I had two costumes ready for her and Miss Independent at first picked the clown, then got weirded out by the shoes so we did a quick change into her ladybug costume. And as long as I kept her preoccupied, she left her tutu and headband on.

And for those of you that don't know what Beau dressed up as...........it's Rey Mysterio, the WWE Wrestler.  Can you believe he was the only one in the entire school dressed up like that?!?! He looked really good and was proud of his costume. That was all that mattered!

Pumpkin Patch

Dreams of cute pictures, happy kids, and a fun family experience were a little overshadowed the day of the pumpkin patch and it was definitely my fault. I was trying to cram too much into a weekend - you know - so I could check  "Go To Pumpkin Patch" off my list.

But we were able to jump on bouncy castles, snap a picture of the pumpkins and go home with a few pumpkins of our own.........so I guess it wasn't all lost. Next year.......we'll take naps before we go.

Songs the Kids Like

Not exactly sure how this started. I do know that Beau has begun to express interest in music and he asked me to download some songs for him so he could get "pumped up" before football games. So he likes:

I Made It (Cash Money Heroes) by Kevin Rudolf, Birdman, Jay Sean, and Lil Wayne
Dynamite by Taio Cruz
Ridin' Solo by Jason Derulo
Gotta Be Somebody by Nickelback

Eclectic taste to say the least. But I guess we must have listened to them 1000 times because now Brenley asks for them by name.  For the Nickelback song she will just say, I want to listen to Nickelback. And Ridin Solo is just Solo.  But let me tell you, it is funny.  I only burned one CD and it resides in Brian's truck. So when we get in my car, she'll ask for it and Beau will tell her, "Sissy, Mommy doesn't have it in her car. You'll have to wait until we are with Daddy. It's okay Sissy. Just wait."

Um, they have bonded over inappropriate (for young children) rock songs? Mother of the Year? Yep, that's me.

Where or where did my blogging go?

Wow. Where does the time go? I get so wrapped up in weekend errands, work, and kids' activities that I am not making much PC time. If I can't do it on my phone, it's not getting done.  And I know I could probably blog using my phone - I just need a better and bigger SMART PHONE! Hint Hint honey, if you are reading this...........

Any hoo............what in the world have we been up too? Let's see.......football. Lots of it.  Three practices during the week and an 8:30AM game each Saturday morning. Not really any new pictures to post as we have this mother who takes professional pictures. She takes shots at the game and tags us on Facebook. They are too amazing for me to even replicate, therefore, I've just stopped trying. So for an updated shot of my tackle football player........check out my Facebook photo's.  We are, however, struggling a bit with his "fire" as I like to call it.  He is just a "take it as it comes" kind of guy, and that's just not how his Daddy and I are built.  SO we are learning how to "take it as it comes" when it comes to sports, but also trying to instill in him giving 100% and all the effort he can.  His running ability is S-L-O-W, and he informs me that he is a hitter, not a runner, mama.  Some day he might be running cross country, who knows, but right now at the ripe ole age of 7, he doesn't like to run.  He gets that from me, sadly.

But to wrap up football, our playoffs are this weekend.  We play at 8:00am Saturday morning. Lose and we are done. Win and we play again in the afternoon, with the Super Bowl being played Sunday.  Either way, football is over this weekend and we jump right into basketball - which by the way, has already begun - practice at least.

So to wrap up our month of September, we were pretty boring and nothing really exciting to report post State Fair.

On to October........Brian's Birthday was October 9th.  We celebrated with family, a date night, and then Brian had a special Father/Son outing to Beau's 2nd WWE LIVE event this year?!  What boy gets to do that twice in the same year? Our WWE loving guy, I guess.

The boys headed to our new Intrust Bank Area for a LIVE taping of WWE Monday Night Raw. Ah......I can smell the testosterone........

Then we got to babysit Baby Will one night. Brenley enjoyed having the baby over also, although she is never keen on sharing toys.

And I guess for the most part, that's it.  Halloween weekend, here we come!
