This was Brenley's second week of Horse Camp. The first time she only got to go 4 days because Speech Camp was on the 5th day.
This last week, however, was their grand finale Rodeo, of which she got to participate. The video at the bottom is the "rodeo" part of Camp.
I think she did AMAZING! What a little girl for such a big horse. Week 1 the horse's name was Chucky. This last week was Big John. At the end you hear the trainer go, I've never seen Big John lope! He is an older horse, so he doesn't have as much giddy up and go, but look at this girl on him. She is a natural equestrian!!
Brenley attended the Wichita State Fluency Camp again this year. While she said she really didn't learn any new tricks or tips this year, she still loved it and wants to go back again. She really fits in here and appreciates that everyone stutters. It's a very comfortable place for her, and I figure by next year, they'll just let her run it with the graduate students.
At the end of the 6 week (Friday only) camp, they give a presentation. This is her giving her presentation and also some pic's from other activities they presented to the group.
You remember that post a while back where I mentioned I need a new camera. This post also supports that.
This Father & Son Wiffle Ball game kicked off our baseball team's end of year party. Boys vs Dads. Should say our Dad was the only one out of EVERYONE to hit a BOMB! He's still got it!!
I think everyone had a good time. We followed the game with a pool party at another teammates house. Fun afternoon/evening.
Dad up to bat
His son pitching to him. What should you throw him, son?
Mom and Dad celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary and we met them in Blackwell for lunch to celebrate. We also went down over a quick Friday night and Saturday morning in July and helped them finish up giving the house a paint job. Brian and I are not great painters, but we were cheap help. Thankful for any time we can spend with them.
Beau got on a new 13u baseball team this season called The Tribe. Turned out to be a pretty good team. Beau really improved this year in all aspects, but especially pitching. He hit the ball really well this season also. He was awarded several game MVP's in various tournaments that we played in for both his offense and defense. However, I think we are most proud of his leadership and teamwork on the field. He knew he was one of the better players on this team, and it instilled a whole new level of confidence in him. Plus, he looks great in a baseball uni. Proud of this kid.
The season ended early July. There are two videos at the end of this. Let's hope they work.
P.S. Looking back at these pictures it reminds me of a couple things:
1) I need a better camera that zooms. iPhone pics are only okay in a pinch
2) I have to keep updated with the blog in real time. These pic's are in no particular order. I just liked them all and wanted to post them all. Some are from my phone and some are from Dad's, and well, you remember that time Mom was getting mad at her computer for not uploading pictures. Yeah. there is that too. Sorry, Beau. Your Mom tried.
