Last Day of the 2016/2017 School Year

Oh my goodness. Where did the school year go? And who are these kids?  Bren had a great year of 3rd grade. She liked her teacher Ms. Holbrook and vice versa. She had a great speech teacher in Ms. Stratton - she was new for Brenley this year.  She excelled in her multiplication and division facts. Was well past her grade level in several categories.  She really stepped up her leadership skills this year as her school was officially categorized as a Lighthouse school that lives by the 7 Habits.

Beau LOVED 8th grade. I think he liked being the top dog in school. He had a great year in sports and academics.  He stayed focused, and has a great group of friends. I just am still in shock he starts high school in a few short months.  And let me just add.......what a year of utter metamorphosis. Can you believe this is the same kid from August 2016????

Brenley's Field Day

Bren's turn for some fun at school. Her field day was a blast. She loved it. It was hard to keep up with her. She ran from station to station!  Ice cream from Andy's was her favorite!

Ribbie

You can't post about Beau and Brenley without showing some love to our pup Ribbie!  This pup. Our joy.

He loves to dig and rip the covers and pillows off our bed and the bed in the spare bedroom. This bed was made before he got started.  So funny.  He loves it, though.

Bull Rush

For the past few years, the Maize South Middle School gears up all year for an end of school 5k run and obstacle course called The Bull Rush.  You have to qualify for it during the year in your respective PE classes.  Beau qualified this year for the Bronze heat, and he did great. It was quite a workout! We were so proud of him for finishing strong. It was a blast to watch and keep up with. These pictures tell the best story.

Beau our Trackster

Beau went out for track again this year. He threw mostly shot put. 35' 2" being his longest (if memory serves). He threw discus a time or two. He even got to run a race in a participation meet.
