Let's see... We've had the kids school conferences. Each of those went great. We are certainly proud and blessed parents. This is Bren outside of her classroom and in front of her artwork.
He was captain two weeks in a row. The team is also wearing Pink to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness. This is week 1 of him being captain.
This is a great sequence of him snapping the ball.
And here he is getting ready to ring the bell after another VICTORY!
Now on to his last home game for Maize Black. It hit me (harder than I thought) that this would likely be the last time ever playing on this field as a Maize Eagle since we 1) hope he stays at Maize South for HS and 2) he actually goes out and makes the football team(s). Little sad by that realization. I love watching that kid play football. He is tougher and stronger than he realizes. And here are some pic's of his last Home Game. Captain again. I love that they go out holding hands.
Coach getting the boys fired up before the game! Beau said he doesn't like this part. I love it.
And now the run through!
And the chest bump with his best bud, Keaton.
And he took a turn bumping big guy Dom.
Action shot of him snapping. My lefty one handed snapper.
Game over. Another win.
Oh yeah. And our Daddy celebrated his 39th birthday!!! Happy Birthday to my beloved. Sister loved helping Daddy read cards and open presents. This was a morning shot.
And this was an evening shot.
And this is what Beau posted on his Instagram account for his Dad's birthday. My babies love their Daddy.
I think that gets us pretty much caught up to the mid point of the month. Whew.
I think a lot about what I could write in my blog, but usually I am always driving when I think about these things. Tonight as I was driving home with the two kids in the car (Dad was on his own in his truck), they started singing at the top of their lungs to some pop song. And I thought to myself.... I hope I always keep the memory of my two kids being so happy with their Mom, singing, and being so care free. When we get a good song on the radio, I'll hear this..... "Mom, let's take the long way home. Or Mom, make a lap before we go home." Simple things make my heart so happy.
