Saying goodbye to Ernie the Elf until next year

We said good-bye to Ernie our family elf last night. Since Santa was on his way, Ernie's job was over.

I'll admit, I was a little sad. Mostly because both kids were so into him this year, fighting over who could find him first each morning once they got up. And the sadness comes from knowing this is probably Beau's last year of believing in the magic. Where does the time go?
